FAQ¶
Users and access¶
How many people can use our MyPACS? As many as you like. There is no per-user licence — plans differ on storage and support. See Invite your team.
Do doctors each need their own login? Yes, and they should have one. Individual accounts mean access can be revoked for one person, and actions are attributable. Shared logins destroy both.
Can two doctors open the same study at once? Yes. Everyone works from one shared study list.
Can I hide some studies from some users? Not today. Every user in an environment sees every study; roles control what they can do, not what they can see. If two groups must not see each other's studies, they need separate environments. Tell us if this matters to you.
Can my colleagues sign in to the console?
No. The console account is the subscription owner's. PACS users only ever use
<subdomain>.mypacs.co.
Data and storage¶
Where are our images stored? In object storage in the EU, in a private bucket used only by your environment. The study index lives in your own database on your own server.
Is our data separated from other customers? Yes. Each customer gets a dedicated server, storage bucket, database and user directory. Nothing is shared.
Do you keep backups? Object storage is durable and replicated, which protects against hardware failure — it is not the same as a backup you control, and it does not undo a deletion. Keep your own exports of anything you are legally required to retain. See Subscription lifecycle.
What happens to our images if we stop paying? Suspension first — the environment goes offline but data is kept. Decommissioning destroys it permanently. You are warned before that step. See Subscription lifecycle.
Using the system¶
Which browsers work? Current Chrome, Edge, Firefox and Safari. No plugin or install.
Does it work on a tablet or phone? The viewer runs, but small screens are unsuited to reading images. Use a proper monitor for clinical work.
Can we send studies straight from our scanner? Not by default. See Sending directly from a modality.
Can we import a patient CD?
Yes — drag the DICOM folder from the disc into the upload page.
See Upload studies.
Can we use our own domain, like pacs.ourhospital.com? On Professional and Enterprise. Contact info@mypacs.co.
Can we connect our hospital's existing logins (SSO)? On Enterprise. Contact us — it needs configuration on both sides.
Billing¶
Can we try before paying? Yes, 14 days, no card required. See Plans and free trial.
Can we change plan later? Yes — email info@mypacs.co.
Where are our invoices? On the tenant page in the console, downloadable as PDF. See Billing and invoices.
Can we get a VAT invoice? Yes. Add your VAT number in the billing portal and it appears on subsequent invoices.
